Brass Embossing Stencils

General Directions:

1. Place the template over your light source.  Tape the stencil in place if desired.
2. Place the paper ON TOP of the template.
3. Rub the paper with a piece of household wax paper.
4. Using your Embossing Tool, trace along the cutout edges of your template.

Coloring and Decorating:

1. Place the template on top of the embossed image.

2. Using a sponge dabber, lightly dab a pigment inkpad to pick up color.

3. Apply the color to the embossed image.

4. Lightly cover the image with glue, then sprinkle with glitter.

You can also try applying watercolors, poster paints, oil pastels, or oil sticks using supplies such as small brushes, q-tips, or makeup sponges.  Other ideas to consider are: Thermal Embossing (creates a raised, shiny, design), Glitter (apply to design using a glue pen), and Paper Edgers (scissors that cut different border designs.)
